It’s hard to resist the allure of this dish – my mom had to prepare 6 plantains just to complete the recipe, as they would disappear before they even reached the table. Simply irresistible!
Ingredients
- 2 Plantains whole - sliced diagonal
- 2 cups Frying oil
Instructions
- Wash and peel plantains
- Slice the plantains diagonally.
- In a large frying pan, heat the oil and add the plantains.
- Plantains cook very quickly, make sure to turn them before they burn. Cook until golden brown on each side.
- Thicker slices and less ripe plantains will need longer to cook and maybe more oil.
- Place the cooked plantain on a paper towel to drain any excess oil.
- Serve warm.
