Ingredients

  • 8 large Potatoes
  • 2 qt Frying Oil

Instructions

  • Peel the potatoes and rinse
  • Cut the potatoes into stripes, either with a sharp knife or a machine that cuts them into strips.
  • Place the fries in the hot oil and cook for about 5 minutes. Stirring occasionally.
  • Remove the fries from the oil and let rest for about 10 to minutes.
  • Return the fries to the oil and finish cooking till golden brown.
  • Salt to taste, serve with ketchup or with fresh homemade mayonnaise.
