Equipment

  • 1 muffin pan

Ingredients

  • 200 grams Flour
  • 3 large eggs
  • 300 ml whole milk
  • 2 tsp olive oil (or beef dripping for traditional flavor)

Instructions

Make the batter

  • In a mixing bowl, add the flour. Stir in the eggs, then gradually whisk in the milk until smooth. Let the batter rest for at least 10 minutes (or chill until ready to use).

Preheat the oven

  • Set it to 220c. (200c with fan)

Heat the oil

  • Divide the oil between a 6-hole muffin tin. Place the tin in the oven for 5 minutes until the oil is very hot

Bake

  • Carefully pour the batter into the hot oil-filled muffin tin. Bake for 25-30 minutes until puffed up and golden brown. Avoid opening the oven door while baking!
    Serve immediately with roast beef with and gravy.
